Lemon Quartz is a beautiful variety of yellow quartz. The gem’s predominantly green undertones differentiate it from Citrine – which instead displays orange or brown undertones. The color of Lemon Quartz can range from pale to vibrant lemon, and depending on its shades, the gem is sometimes referred to as Green Gold, Lemon Citrine or Lemon Topaz.
The color of Lemon Quartz can sometimes occur naturally, because tiny inclusions of iron act on the irregularities in the gem’s crystal structure. More often this beautiful color is the result of a treatment, the results of which are permanent.
